FACE 5
Brian Campbell measured this hole to be 18.75 mm East-West and 18.77 mm North-South, showing the hole to be very symmetrical. This equates to .73897638".
The actual sought after value was 189/256th or .73828125" . This value identifies the number used to generate a quarter fraction of the lunar month of 29.53125-days (29 & 17/32nds) and 7.3828125-days would be a lunar week. The druidic mathematician- astronomers could calculate the lunar month as 1890 ÷ 64 = 29.53125. This progression goes:
.73828125, 1.4765625, 2.21484375, 2.953125, etc. The progression goes on to generate 354.375, the duration in days of the lunar year, 472.5, the duration of 16 lunar months and the design height of the Khafre Pyramid under the 3,4,5 triangle method by which it was built. It then generates 590.625, the intended diagonal face side length, from apex to base of the Khafre Pyramid (in days 20 lunar months).
The progression advances to produce 130636800' for the equatorial circumference of the Earth.
DISTANCE TO THE INNER RIM OF THE 1ST CONCENTRIC RING
The rim has been severely shaved on, especially, the right side in the above picture, to the extent that it is paper thin. This was for the purpose of incorporating, what would appear on the surface to be, a reasonable complex diameter code East-West. The sought after value was .76388888" continuous. Despite the number's horrid appearance in decimal form it is simply 55/72nds and appears to have been widely used in navigational circumference calculations when using the mile of 5280'. The progression goes:
.76388888, 1.5277777, 2.29166666, 3.055555, 3.81944444, 4.5833333, 5.34722222, 6.111111, 6.875, etc.
In the above line-up of numbers, the sum of 68.75-miles would be 1-degree of arc in the 24750-mile equatorial circumference and 7.6388888-miles would be 1/9th of 1-degree of arc.
The North-South diameter of this slightly elliptical circle is .768" and generates the following progression:
.768, 1.536, 2.304, 3.072, 3.84, 4.608, 5.376, 6.144, 6.912, 7.68, 8.448, 9.216, 9.984, 10.752, 11.52, etc. The progression continues up to 130636800' (768 X170100).
The value 1701 (days) was 1/4th of the 6804-day lunar nutation cycle and the druid forebears were able to combine both lunar cycle codes and navigational codes into many of the same mathematical progressions. All of the so-called Greek measurements do this.
DISTANCE TO THE CENTRE TROUGH OF THE FIRST CONCENTRIC RING
The East-West measurement is .7875" ( 63/80ths) and the progression it generates goes:
.7875, 1.575, 2.3625, 3.15, 3.9375, 4.725, 5.5125, 6.3, 7.0875, 7.875, 8.6625, 9.45, 10.2375, 11.025, 11.8125, 12.6, etc. The progression advances to produce 189, 378, 756 all the way up to 130636800' for the equatorial circumference of the Earth.
In the above line-up 315' would be 1/2 a Greek stadia and also the coded distance around the inner rim of the Sarsen Circle at Stonehenge (based upon one cross measure of 100', with PI @ 3.15). The 708.75' value would be length of the Khafre Pyramid, as well as (in days) 2 lunar years. The value 118.125 (days) would be 4 lunar months. The values 189', 378' & 756' would be the 1/4th, 1/2, and full length of the Great Pyramid. The sum of 12.6" was the Greek foot and 126" was the length of their reed (10.5' ... based upon the earlier Hebrew reed).
An East-West cross measure produces .792". A progression based upon this root value goes:
.792, 1.584, 2.736, 3.168, 3.96, 4.752, 5.544, 6.336, 7.128, 7.92, etc. The progression goes on to generate values like 1980, 3360, 7920, coding 1/4 of the Earth's diameter, it's radius and full diameter. The sum of 7920-miles X PI @ 1728/550ths (3.141818182) = 24883.2. Alternatively, 7920-miles X 3.125 (another, less precise form of PI) = 24750.
The true diameter of the Earth is 7926.6 -miles, so the druids and their forebears were making navigational calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
DISTANCE TO THE OUTER EDGE OF THE FIRST RING
This is a perfect circle and not an ellipse. It measures .825" (33/40ths) and produces the following progression:
.825, 1.65, 2.475, 3.3, 4.125, 4.95, 5.775, 6.6, 7.425, 8.25, 9.075, 9.9, 10.725, 11.55, 12.375, 13.2, etc. The progression goes on to produce 20.625, 198, 297, 336, 528, 792, etc. Again, this progression would provide the druidic scientist mnemonic recall of the essential values for navigating by the English mile of 5280' or Scottish mile of 5940' and provide all of the incremental values.
The value 9075" was the length of the Great pyramid under this system (440 Egyptian Royal Cubits of 20.625"). Again the diameter of the Earth division values are also generated.
DISTANCE TO THE INNER RIM OF THE 2ND OUTWARDS CONCENTRIC RING
This appears to be a perfect circle with a diameter of .9504". The progression generated from this goes:
.9504, 1.9008, 2.8152, 3.8016, 4.752, 5.7024, 6.6528, 7.6032, 8.5536, 9.504, etc. The progression leads on to produce 130680000' for the equatorial circumference of the Earth (24750-miles).
This progression gave the druidic mathematician the ability to do calculations related to the circumference of the Earth in increments of 24.75', 5280' or 5940' (the Scottish mile). Therefore, 95040' would be 3840 increments of 24.75', 18 miles of 5280' and 16 miles of 5940'.
DISTANCE TO THE CENTRE TROUGH OF THE 2ND OUTWARDS CONCENTRIC RING.
East-West this measures .984375", setting up the following progression:
.This is .984375 (63/64ths) and was a very important half value in ancient gold assaying. A progression stemming from this goes:
.984375, 1.96875, 2.953125, 3.9375, 4.921875, 5.90625, 6.890625, 7.875, 8.859375, 9.84375, 10.828125, 11.8125, etc. The progression goes on to produce 15.75, 29.53125 and ultimately 196.875.
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130636800' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5250' mile system).
This is essentially a lunar progression leading to 29.53125 (days) for the lunar month. However the value of 196.875-grains became the Egyptian Beqa Standard for gold weight. This standard was later adopted by both the Greeks and Romans.
The North-South measurement is .99" and generates the following:
.99, 1.98, 2.97, 3.96, 4.95, 5.94, 6.93, 7.92, 8.91, 9.9, 10.89, 11.88, 12.87, 13.86, 14.85, 15.84, 16.83, 17.82, 18.81, 19.8, etc. The progression goes on to produce 24.75, 29.7, 59.4, etc. Again, this all relates to navigating by the ancient Scottish mile of 5940' or the English mile of 5280'.
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130680000' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5280' mile system).
DISTANCE TO THE OUTER RIM OF THE 2ND OUTWARDS CONCENTRIC RING
The East-West diameter is 1.0125" and a progression based upon this root value goes:
1.0125, 2.025, 3.0375, 4.05, 5.0625, 6.075, 7.0875, 8.1, 9.1125, 10.125, 11.1375, 12.15, etc. The progression goes on to produce 162, 243, 2835, 4860, 5670, 6480, 7290, etc., and provides much needed values for tracking periods within the lunar cycle. For example, there would be 35 periods of 10.125-days (243-hours) in the 354.375-day lunar year. Likewise, there would be 672 periods of 10.125-days in the 6804-day lunar nutation cycle. The sum of 4860' became the Roman mile and the Roman pace was 7.29" X 8.
Under the Calendar of Coligny layout for the lunisolar Sabbatical Calendar, 7.2 lunar years were tracked daily alongside 7 solar years. This meant that the lunar count was 2551.5-days and the solar count was 2556.25-days. We know that the druids commenced their lunar count 6-days after commencing their solar count so that both periods would end on the same day. The 2551.5-day count is 10.125-days X 252.
Under a simpler agrarian calendar system anciently in use, every week would be 7-days and every month would be 28-days. Under this peasant-farmer system there were 13-months in the year adding up to 364-days or 1.25-days of error. This Sabbatical system was allowed to run for 7 solar years alongside 7.2 lunar years, then a (9-day) festival was held to add back in the missing 8.75 intercalary days such that the new Sabbatical cycle could commence anew fully corrected.
According to the author, Carol Carnac, another counting system used by the Celt was to divide their solar year 'into 36-periods of approximately 10-days each'. (See: L'Astrology Celtique, Sand, Paris, 1986 ).
Mathematically, the only real or practical method available to them, under their lunisolar count system, would be to use 10.125-days (10 & 1/8th or 243-hours). Therefore: 10.125-days X 35 = 354.375-days or 1 lunar year. Alternatively, 10.125-days X 36 = 364.5-days or only .75-days short of the true solar year.
In this case, the Celts may well have incorporated a similar system as the one used by the ancient Hebrews (pre 600 BC) where each year they held a "double Sabbath" to increase the 364-day count to 365, thus decreasing the number of intercalary days to be added in the Sabbatical Year (7th year) down from 8.75 to only 1.75.
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130636800' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5250' mile system).
The North-South diameter is 1.024" and the progression goes:
1.024, 2.048, 3.072, 4.096, 5.12, 6.144, 7.168, 8.192, 9.216, etc. The progression goes on to generate 1536, 2560 and ultimately to 130636800' for a full equatorial circumference of 24883.2 Greek miles.
DISTANCE TO THE INNER RIM OF THE 3RD OUWARDS CONCENTRIC RING
The East-West measurement is 1.05" and the progression generated goes:
1.05, 2.1, 3.15, 4.2, 5.25, 6.3, 7.35, 8.4, 9.45, 10.5, 11.55, 12.6, 13.65, 14.7, 15.75, 16.8, 17.85, 18.9, 19.95, 21, etc. The progression goes on to generate 2551.2, 2835, 5250, 6300 etc.
This value, as 10.5' or 126" was the Hebrew Reed, as well as a reed equivalent increment used under the measurement system adopted by the Greeks, with a foot of 12.6". The value 2551.5 in days would equate to 7.2 lunar years and this value was essential to tracking the moon during 7-solar years (2556.25-days) under the lunisolar Sabbatical Calendar system, The 2835 figure represents the perimeter total, in feet, for a full circumnavigation of the Khafre Pyramid, conceived and built to be 708.75' per side or 15/16th the side length of the Great Pyramid. The 5250 figure is the Greek mile and 6300' would be 10 stadia.
The North-South diameter is 1.056" and thereby, all of the "11" based measurement increments come into play for the 5280' mile navigational system. The progression would run:
1.056, 2.112, 3.168, 4.224, 5.28, 6.336, 7.392, 8.448, 9.504, 10.56, 11.616, 12.672, 13.728, 14.784, 15.84, etc. The progression would generate a raft of important values like 2640, 6336, 7920, etc., all the way to the equatorial circumference of the Earth in feet. The sum of 1056' would be 1/5th of a mile and 1584-miles would be 1/5th of the Earth's diameter (7920-miles).
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130680000' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5280' mile system).
It seems to be a rule of thumb that whenever the 1050', 5250' increments are encoded into British standing stone circle sites or others elsewhere, that the 1056', 5280' increments are also marked alongside.
DISTANCE TO THE CENTRE TROUGH OF THE 3RD OUWARDS CONCENTRIC RING
The East-West diameter is 1.08" and generates the following progression:
This East-West cross measure is 1.08" and a mathematical progression of this value produces the following numbers:
1.08, 2.16, 3.24, 4.32, 5.4, 6.48, 7.56, 8.64, 9.72, 10.8, 11.88, 12.96, 14.04, 15.12, 16.2, 17.28, 18.36, 19.44, 20.52, 21.6, 22.68, 23.76, 24.84, 25.92, 30.24, etc.
This progression relates to both navigation and the Precession of the Equinoxes. The sun spends 2160-years in each of the Houses of the Zodiac during the 25920-year (72 X 360) cycle of Precession. This means we have to change our calendar date for the equinox event 1-day every 72-years to keep in line with the actual vernal equinox. The ancient Sumerian/Babylonian Homer volume was 21600 cubic inches, the old English bushel was 1/10th of that @ 2160 cubic inches, the diameter of the moon is 2160 English miles, whereas the diameter of the sun is essentially 864,000-miles.
In our ages-old Sumerian compass system there are 60-seconds, 60-minutes & 360-degrees, totaling 1296000-seconds of arc. The sum of 12960-years would be the half cycle of the Precession of the Equinoxes. A cubic foot is 12 X 12 X 12 cubic inches or 1728" cu. Values like 756, 1512, 2268 and 3024 describe 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or a full circumnavigation of the Great Pyramid's base.
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130636800' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5250' mile system).
The North-South diameter is 1.089" and and generates the following progression:.
1.089, 2.178, 3.267, 4.356, 5.445, 6.534, 7.623, 8.712, 9.801, 10.89, 11.979, 13.068. The progression advances to produce 130680000'. The sum of 108900' (20.625-miles of 5280') would equate to 1/1200th of the equatorial circumference of the Earth. Remember also that the 2nd largest Egyptian Royal cubit was 20.625".
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130680000' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5280' mile system).
DISTANCE TO THE OUTER RIM OF THE 3RD OUTWARD CONCENTRIC RING
The East-West measurement is 1.111111" continuous and sets up the following progression:
The 1.11111 code simply breaks the number 10 down into 9ths. It goes:
1.11111, 2.22222, 3.33333, 4.44444, 5.55555, 6.66666, 7.77777, 8.88888, 9.99999, 10.
This is 1.125" (1 & 1/8th") and the progression that stems from this is:
1.125, 2.25, 3.375, 4.5, 5.625, 6.75, 7.875, 9, 10.125, 11.25, 12.375, 13.5, 14.625, 15.75, 16.875, 18, etc. The string goes on to identify 360-degree compass segments for 1/32nd (11.25-degrees), 1/16th, 1/8th/ 1/4th, 1/2 and the full 360-degree reading.
The progression advances to finally generate the value 130636800' (the equatorial circumference of the Earth under the 5250' mile system).
Here are the perfect circles and slightly elliptical circles for each coded diameter over Face 5. Again there are a few areas of damage that encroach marginally into the circles and the artisans have also scoured out a few recesses, undoubtedly to extract some additional cross-measurement codes from the peg bases or dodecahedron edges.
